Bravely Field Notes

Practical

Dates, ages, money, and the road to Gdańsk.

A plain reading of public host material. If your contingent pack says something newer, follow the contingent pack.

This page is not official

Bravely Field Notes is not the Organising Committee, not ZHP, and not WOSM. Nothing here enrols you, quotes a binding fee, or replaces a circular from your National Scout Organization.

Use the links on the Resources page, especially jamboree2027.org and Bulletin 1, before you act on a date or a price.

Schedule

The camp itself runs from 30 July to 8 August 2027. The host also publishes the days around it for the service team and for departures.

29 July 2027

Opening game and ceremony. The camp is open.
1 August 2027

10 August 2027

Ages

Bulletin 1 describes youth participants as people born after 30 July 2009 and on or before 30 July 2013.

The same bulletin describes International Service Team members, Contingent Management Team members, and Adult Patrol Leaders as people born on or before 30 July 2009.

A patrol is nine youth plus one Adult Patrol Leader. Four patrols form a unit. The Head of Contingent cannot also be an Adult Patrol Leader or a member of the International Service Team.

A public dates page on the host site words the age band a little more loosely. Where the two differ, ask your National Scout Organization which text it is using.

Registration

Participants join through their National Scout Organization. This website has no registration form and cannot hold a place.

Heads of Contingent work with the host on allocations. Individual Scouts do not apply to the Gdańsk office on their own.

Fees in Bulletin 1

Bulletin 1 published participation fees in Polish złoty, by World Scout fee category A to D. The participant columns include the Adult Patrol Leader. The other pair is the International Service Team and the Contingent Management Team.

Bulletin 1 asked for an early-registration allocation form by 1 July 2025 and a 30 percent deposit by 1 September 2025. That early-bird deadline has passed as of October 2026. Read the early columns as history unless your National Scout Organization says the rate still applies.

These numbers are a reading of Bulletin 1, not an invoice. Later bulletins can replace them. This site never collects a fee.

The island

Camp life is on Sobieszewo Island. The host puts the site about twenty minutes from central Gdańsk, on the Baltic.

Check-in, day visitors, and media are described as downtown, separate from the sleeping site.

Bulletin 1 sketches July and August as a daily average around 17°C, highs around 21°C, humidity around 55 percent, and rain on about seven days a month. The Baltic shore is windy. Pack layers, not only a summer shirt.

Travel and visas

Fly into Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport (GDN), or come by rail. High-speed trains connect the region with Warsaw. Your contingent will publish its own arrival plan.

Poland is in the Schengen area. Visas, invitations, and passport rules are a matter for your National Scout Organization and the Polish authorities. This site does not give visa advice.

Safe from Harm

The Jamboree follows the World Organization of the Scout Movement Safe from Harm approach, plus the host’s own rules and your contingent’s code. This website is not a place to report a concern. Use your leaders and the official channels.

Organiser’s office

The Organising Committee is a foundation of ZHP. Its office address, email, and the phone number printed by the host are below. The registered seat is Za murami 2-10, Gdańsk.
