What this Poland guide is

This page is the place chapter for the 2027 World Scout Jamboree. Ages, the Bulletin 1 fee table, and how a National Scout Organization registers a patrol are on the joining page. When those pages disagree with your contingent, follow the contingent.

Ages, fees, and joining

Sobieszewo Island, inside Gdańsk

The host’s venue page puts the 26th World Scout Jamboree on Wyspa Sobieszewska, inside the city of Gdańsk, on the Baltic coast in northern Poland. It describes the island as sea and rivers around it, about a twenty-minute drive from the historic centre, and away from the city’s built-up districts.

The same page says the island has the status of an ecological reserve and was formed by regulating the estuary of the Vistula. It describes seaside forest, several kilometres of wide beach, open fields, and farmland. It also calls Gdańsk a city with a thousand years of history and the birthplace of the Solidarity movement associated with Lech Wałęsa. That is the host’s sentence.

Jamboree 101 describes the land with one different detail: an agricultural area with a strip of forest, formed almost two hundred years ago when the Vistula broke through to a new estuary, not ground built for the camp. Bulletin 1 says Poland is hosting a World Scout Jamboree for the first time, in Gdańsk, in the Pomorskie region. The host story calls this the first World Scout Jamboree in Central Europe.

The Polish page for island residents says work on the temporary tent city starts in spring 2027 and that the temporary infrastructure is to come down by the end of August 2027. It says the City of Gdańsk is providing the meadow, and that the meadow is to be restored afterwards.

Host venue page

The island as a district of Gdańsk

The City of Gdańsk’s district page, read on 27 October 2026, calls Wyspa Sobieszewska the easternmost district of the city. It prints an area of 35.79 square kilometres and a population of 3,171. That population is residents of the district, not Scouts, and it is not one of the camp headcounts further down this page.

The city’s history of the district lists nine settlements: Górki Wschodnie, Komary, Orlinki, Przegalina, Sobieszewo, Sobieszewko, Sobieszewska Pastwa, Świbno, and Wieniec. It says the island was shaped on the east by the Vistula’s breakthrough on the night of 31 January to 1 February 1840, which opened Wisła Śmiała, and on the west by the cut near Świbno, dug from 1890 to 1895 and opened on 31 March 1895. Jamboree 101’s “almost two hundred years” matches the 1840 breach. The venue page’s sentence about regulating the estuary is the city’s other account. This guide does not pick one.

The same history page says the island meets the rest of Gdańsk by Most Sobieszewski, along ul. Sobieszewska and ul. Turystyczna. It also describes a seasonal cable ferry between Świbno and Mikoszewo, from the end of April to the end of October, toward Krynica Morska. That is not a 2027 timetable, and it is not how this guide tells a contingent to arrive. The coach plan and the five official entry points above stay as the host printed them.

The history page says the island was connected to the city’s central water supply in 2013, replacing intakes at Sobieszewo and Świbno. It does not say what the camp will serve. A separate chapter reads the plug difference for a Hong Kong family, the number 112, and the short search world jamboree 2027. It does not replace this place guide.

Two public figures for the size of the site

The venue page, and Bulletin 1’s location section, say the campsite itself is on 300 hectares of fields and meadows, with programme areas in the forest and on the beach. Jamboree 101 says more than 200 hectares are available, for up to 50,000 people. Both numbers are on public host pages. This guide does not average them.

What the host says about July and August

The venue page describes a warm temperate summer, moderated by the sea. For July and August it gives an average daily temperature of 17°C, an average high of 21°C, humidity of 55 percent, and moderate rain: about seven days with precipitation in a summer month. That is a climate note, not a forecast for 2027, and it is not a packing list. Your contingent packs you.

Official entry points

The venue page names these official entry points:

  • Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa International Airport (GDN)
  • Gdańsk Główny
  • Gdańsk ferry terminal
  • Gdynia ferry terminal
  • AmberExpo / Polsat Plus Arena

A contingent can still land somewhere else and transfer. The joining page’s reading of Bulletin 1 includes transfers from the entry and exit points the host states. This page does not invent a timetable. Gdańsk Główny is the city’s main railway station.

The host’s named carrier

A host page names LOT Polish Airlines as the official carrier and says the airline connects Poland with hubs in North America, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. The same page points contingents to Bulletin 3 for flight connections and dedicated offers. This notebook has not copied those offers, and it does not sell seats. Flying LOT is not a rule from this site. Your Head of Contingent books the group.

Host page on LOT Polish Airlines

Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot on National Geographic’s 2027 list

On 26 October 2026 the host posted that Poland’s Tri-City — Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot — is one of National Geographic’s 25 Best of the World destinations for 2027. National Geographic’s own list names the three cities together as Tricity. The City of Gdańsk press office says the award was presented in Warsaw on 20 October 2026. A travel list is not a camp rule, and it does not move the Jamboree site on Sobieszewo Island.

National Geographic’s Tricity guide says Gdynia hosts the World Sailing Championships from 22 July to 1 August 2027, which overlaps the Jamboree’s opening on 30 July. The same guide says airport trains run from Gdańsk airport to Sopot and Gdynia, that central Gdańsk usually needs a transfer, and that SKM commuter trains link the three cities. This notebook has not checked 2027 timetables or hotel prices. A family that wants to see the coast before or after the camp should expect a busy summer. Participants travel as their contingent plans.

From Warsaw, the airport, or a ferry

The five official entry points are the list above: Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport (GDN), Gdańsk Główny, the Gdańsk ferry terminal, the Gdynia ferry terminal, and the bus parking at AmberExpo / Polsat Plus Arena. This guide does not add a sixth, and it does not publish a 2027 timetable.

Bulletin 1 says a high-speed train from Warsaw to Gdańsk takes about two and a half hours. Gdańsk Główny is the city’s main station, and it is one of those entry points. Jamboree 101 puts daily life on Sobieszewo Island and check-in, day visitors, and media in downtown Gdańsk, about twenty minutes apart by the host’s account. The joining page’s reading of the participation fee includes transfers from the entry and exit points the host states. It does not name a platform, a coach number, or a ticket price.

The host has named LOT Polish Airlines as official carrier and points flight offers to Bulletin 3. This page has not copied those offers. An international ticket, including a flight that does not land at GDN, is the contingent’s plan.

Reading this Poland guide from Hong Kong

A Hong Kong family can use this page for the place: the island, the five official entry points, the host’s summer note, and day visitors. It does not enrol anyone. Places for Hong Kong Scouts stay with the Scout Association of Hong Kong. Circular 08/2025’s 2 May 2025 date has passed. Ask the association’s International Branch, not worldscoutjamboree2027.

Hong Kong Time is UTC+8 all year. The European Commission’s summer-time schedule for 2027 runs from 28 March to 31 October, so 30 July to 8 August falls inside Central European Summer Time. Gdańsk is then six hours behind Hong Kong. This guide does not publish a flight timetable. The host’s entry points include Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport (GDN). Your contingent names the flights. An HKSAR passport and a Document of Identity are not the same document. That reading, and the March 2025 Hong Kong dollar estimate, stay on the Hong Kong page.

Four parts of the programme, on the host’s page

The host’s programme story divides the educational programme into four parts, from the opening ceremony on 30 July 2027 through the closing ceremony on 8 August 2027. The lines below are a short reading of that page, not the programme book.

Subcamp
Life in the subcamp, including free time and a Solidarity Badge about bravery, peace, and friendship.
Modules
Modules on the Bravely theme, on the site, close to the site, and off the site. The story says participants will go through forest and beach, into Gdańsk, and to a Polish Scout camp. Off-site modules are described as time with local communities, so Scouts can see the history and culture of the Kashubian region and of Pomerania near Gdańsk.
Plaza
A plaza with a national tent from each contingent, a Faith and Beliefs Zone, and an Equality Zone.
Supporting events
The same page names a Youth Forum, described as a model United Nations debate, the celebration of 120 years of Scouting, and a jamboree board game.

Host programme story

The days, once you are on the island

The programme story, Jamboree 101, and the Bulletin 3 news note describe the kinds of days: subcamp life, modules on the beach and in the forest, a 24-hour adventure with Polish Scouts, time in Gdańsk, a plaza, and food and site services the news note names without printing a menu or a socket map. That reading is a separate chapter. It is not an hour-by-hour timetable, and it does not replace this place guide.

2027 World Scout Jamboree: the days on the island

Three places named for island residents

A separate Polish page for Sobieszewo residents names three programme places. The beach and water module uses the beach at entrance 16 (Orlinki), and that page says the beach will not be closed. The forest module uses the campsite on ul. Lazurowa. Sailing is at Marina Błotnik and the marina on ul. Nadwiślańska. The same page says the programme does not enter nature reserves such as Mewia Łacha and Ptasi Raj, and that beaches and recreation grounds stay open to residents and visitors. It gives Malbork Castle as one example of a trip in the region, not as a promise that every patrol will go there.

Day visitors

The residents’ page says the camp is not only for Scouts. It describes a day-visitor programme with tickets, a 20 percent discount for residents of Gdańsk, and free entry for residents of Sobieszewo Island. It does not print a ticket price. This guide will not invent one.

The same page says a day visitor receives a camp neckerchief and an identification badge, transport from the registration point at AmberExpo to the site and back, a map, and — after an optional stamp game — a pin. It sends day visitors and other individual arrivals to a check-in centre at AmberExpo, then on organised transport. Jamboree 101 had placed check-in, day visitors, and the media centre in downtown Gdańsk. This guide does not know whether those sentences are two names for one place. Follow the host’s latest note to your contingent.

Buses, streets, and quiet hours

The residents’ page expects participants and volunteers to move on a special coach system, not on ordinary ZTM Gdańsk city transport. It plans about 200 departures a day from the site and a temporary bus station on the camp. It says cars and coaches for the event park mainly around AmberExpo, at the Gdańsk International Fair, with shuttles from there. It plans to close ul. 100-lecia ZHP to private traffic from 1 July to 29 August 2027, while keeping access to properties beyond the Młynówka canal. It plans no restriction on ul. Przegalińska. It plans to stop parking on ul. Lazurowa for 15 days, from 27 July to 10 August. Plans like these move. That page prints gdansk@wsj2027.pl and +48 58 58 59 007 for residents’ questions. Participants still use their contingent, and the host’s camp address remains info@wsj2027.pl.

The residents’ page sets quiet hours from 22:00 to 06:00. It says noise may continue after 22:00 on the opening ceremony, which that page dates 31 July, on an Arena Show it dates 6 August, and on the closing ceremony on 8 August.

Host page for Sobieszewo residents (Polish)

The host has published more than one headcount

Public host pages do not share one number. Jamboree 101 says up to 50,000 people, counting participants, volunteers, and day visitors. The residents’ page says about 50,000 participants, volunteers, and guests from more than 170 countries and territories. On that same page, one answer says more than 40,000 participants aged 14 to 17 will live in the tent city, and the next says the figure 42,000 is those patrols plus adult leaders, volunteers, and contingent staff, with about 8,000 further guests. A news page on the Heads of Contingent meeting in Gdańsk, 24–26 July 2026, says the hosts are preparing for nearly 43,000 participants and volunteers from 176 countries and territories. The LOT page speaks of getting 50,000 participants to the island. These sentences count different groups. None of them is a registration total from this website.

Heads of Contingent meeting, July 2026

26th World Scout Jamboree Poland 2027

The host story is titled 26th World Scout Jamboree – Poland, 2027. It says the theme Bravely is meant to inspire bold action for the world and the planet, and that the programmes emphasise courage in everyday life and sustainable development. It says tens of thousands of Scouts will meet, and it calls this the first World Scout Jamboree in Central Europe. The map on this page is unchanged.

The WOSM event page prints 09:00 on Friday 30 July 2027 as the start and 09:00 on Sunday 8 August 2027 as the end, and it does not name the clock. This guide does not turn those hours into a ceremony time. The opening-day disagreement further down is unchanged: 30 July on the English dates page, 31 July on the residents’ page.

The host footer calls the office at L. Mierosławskiego 15 Jamboree House. How a national contingent registers, including the French search jamboree 2027 inscription and the Dutch search wereld jamboree 2027, is a separate chapter. Read on 25 October 2026.

A separate page reads what was public on 24 October 2026: the 3 July registration letter, the Polish act signed on 9 October, and the host’s 23 October story about Polish troop leaders. Those lines are not a new map of the island. The planning headcounts above stay as they are.

2027 World Scout Jamboree in October 2026

30 July, or 31 July, for the opening

The camp dates that agree on Bulletin 1, the English dates page, and the residents’ page are 30 July to 8 August 2027. The English dates page puts the opening game and ceremony on 30 July, contingents on 29 July, and the International Service Team on 27–28 July. The residents’ page agrees that volunteers arrive on 27 July and leave on 10 August, and that the closing ceremony is on 8 August. It puts the opening ceremony on 31 July, and its quiet-hours note uses that same day. The two public pages do not agree. Confirm the ceremony day with the organisers or your National Scout Organization before you print a timetable. The day-by-day table on the joining page follows the English dates page, including 10 August for the service team’s departure. A host knowledge-base page has also said 11 August.

Questions this Poland guide answers

Where is the World Scout Jamboree 2027 Poland guide?
On this page. It is the independent place guide at worldscoutjamboree2027.com. The host site is jamboree2027.org. This page does not register participants.
Where in Poland is the 2027 World Scout Jamboree?
On Wyspa Sobieszewska, Sobieszewo Island, inside Gdańsk, on the Baltic. The host’s venue page says the campsite is on 300 hectares of fields and meadows. Jamboree 101 says more than 200 hectares, for up to 50,000 people.
How do participants arrive?
The venue page lists five official entry points: Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport (GDN), Gdańsk Główny railway station, the Gdańsk ferry terminal, the Gdynia ferry terminal, and the bus parking at AmberExpo / Polsat Plus Arena. The host has also named LOT Polish Airlines as official carrier. Your contingent’s plan is the one that matters.
Can someone visit without being in a contingent?
The host’s page for island residents says yes, through a day-visitor programme with tickets, a 20 percent discount for Gdańsk residents, and free entry for Sobieszewo residents. It does not print a price. It sends day visitors to AmberExpo to register, then on organised transport.
What is the weather on Sobieszewo Island in July and August?
The venue page gives an average daily temperature of 17°C, an average high of 21°C, humidity of 55 percent, and about seven days of precipitation in a summer month. That is the host’s climate note, not a forecast for 2027.
When is the opening ceremony?
The host’s English dates page and Bulletin 1 say 30 July 2027. The host’s Polish page for Sobieszewo residents says 31 July 2027. Both are public. Confirm the day before you rely on it.
How long is the train from Warsaw to Gdańsk?
Bulletin 1 says about two and a half hours. This Poland guide does not publish a 2027 timetable, a platform, or a fare. Gdańsk Główny is the main station and one of the host’s named entry points. Your contingent’s plan is the one that matters.
What are the days of the 2027 World Scout Jamboree like?
The host’s public notes describe subcamp life, modules on the beach, in the forest, and in Gdańsk, a plaza, and food and site services. They do not print an hour-by-hour timetable. The days chapter on this site is that reading. Your contingent’s plan is the one that matters.
What is world jamboree 2027?
A shorter search for this camp: the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Gdańsk, also called the 2027 World Scout Jamboree. On this site the place chapter keeps the title World Scout Jamboree 2027 Poland guide. The chapter that keeps the short name also reads the plug note for Hong Kong. It is not a second event.
How does a Hong Kong family use the World Scout Jamboree 2027 Poland guide?
For the place: Sobieszewo Island, the five official entry points, the host’s July and August note, and day visitors. During the camp Gdańsk is six hours behind Hong Kong. This page does not enrol a Hong Kong Scout. Places stay with the Scout Association of Hong Kong, and circular 08/2025’s 2 May 2025 date has passed. The notebook is Bravely Field Notes at worldscoutjamboree2027.com.

Read on 23 October 2026: the host venue page, Jamboree 101, the programme story, the English dates page, Bulletin 1, the Polish page for Sobieszewo residents, the host’s LOT Polish Airlines page, and the note of the 24–26 July 2026 Heads of Contingent meeting. This page paraphrases them. A later host page wins. The City of Gdańsk district page and its history of Wyspa Sobieszewska were read on 27 October 2026.
